Maison Marie-Immaculee

The Maison Marie immaculée is a not-for-profit organisation that focuses on a number of different areas, including: a rest and care home; nursery and childcare; residential service for adults with multiple disabilities and a palliative care hospital unit. In total, the organisation looks after between 800 and 1,000 people.

The finance director of the Maison Marie Immaculée, Johan Seghers, has agreed to share his experiences of our Cloud2be solution a year after it was implemented:

Can you give us a bit of background?

“I joined the company about 17 years ago. At the time, there were 3 computers and no IT expert. Over time, office equipment gradually became more specialised, so I had to start looking after IT and we took the step to hire an in-house IT expert. We then realised that as homes were evolving, we had reached our full capacity.”

Which solution did you opt for? 

“So a bit more than two years ago, we started to think in-house about our future in terms of IT. We chose to go with the Cloud (rather than an on-site infrastructure), which was put in place in June 2015.”

Why EASI? 

“We launched a call for tenders to compare the products and services available, and putting all the proposals side by side, EASI really stood out, as we were already a client of EASI Financials. It was an advantage to start working with someone we already knew and trusted."

EASI also went into a lot of detail about the services (including a detailed description of the different stages involved to optimise implementation).

"Installation went really well. EASI respected our tight deadlines, which was important as the healthcare aspect of our business couldn’t do without IT.”

What benefits would you like to tell us about a year on from launching Cloud2be? 

"One year on, I would say that if we had to do it all again, we wouldn’t do anything differently."

"All the stakeholders talk to each other, and that makes our relationship really efficient. Apart from that, Cloud2be’s flexibility is a real advantage. It means that it’s easy for us to adapt our IT capacity to suit our actual needs. It’s also much simpler for us in terms of IT management. Our IT expert can focus on our users and doesn’t have to worry about the IT infrastructure."
